26 July 1864, Hopkinton. 'In compliance with Captain Dailey [James Stephens] and our State Center we the members of the Fenian brotherhood subscribed and forward twenty dollars for the object stated by Captain Dailey at the New England convention. The amount is smaller than we could wish but some of our members is gone to the war.'
